The Healthcare Billing Accountant (HBA) supports the Finance Department.
The HBA is responsible for overseeing the revenue cycle by analyzing and auditing various Medicare and Medicaid reports including insurance verifications, membership, payment, coordination of benefits, RAPS and prescription reports.
The HBA is also responsible for generating invoices, cash receipt processing, account receivable monitoring and reconciliation to the participant level for all Community LIFE Participants, ensuring that every active participant is invoiced and paid accurately for their level of Medicare Parts A, B, and D, as well as Medicaid, Nursing Facility Patient Pay and Private Pay and their benefits are coordinated accordingly.
Required Education/
Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business, or Five years of accounts receivable experience preferably in healthcare environment Required Skills:
Detail Oriented Good Organization Skills Good Communication Skills Team / Customer Oriented Competency in Microsoft Office, Specifically Excel Desired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Medicaid Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility Billing Experience reviewing PA 162 Forms Experience using the Promise System Experience in health plan accounting or billing Experience using CMS MARX and HPMS systems Experience using SAGE 100 Appreciate working with the frail elderly
